FAQ

Can I only join at specific times of year?

You can join anytime at all! Every Monday there’s a beginner lesson & social starting at 8:00 pm, usually located in the John Deustch University Centre on Queen’s University Campus. Please check out our schedule for full details!

Do I need a partner?

Nope! You can come by yourself. We usually rotate partners throughout lessons and dances. That being said, if you’d like to come with a special partner and only dance with them – that’s okay too!

What types of shoes do I need?

Any type of sneaker usually works! Especially those with a flat bottom surface.

What do I wear?

Lindy hop is often associated with the culture of the 1920s and 1930s and people often wear vintage-inspired outfits to dance in. However, this is more common for our workshop weekends or special dances and is not at all necessary. Wear anything you feel comfortable exercising in!
